In the Olympic Park and throughout Britain

During the London Games, Olympic and Paralympic events will be staged in a range of venues at the Olympic Park, across London and outside the capital.

Olympic Park venues

The new Olympic Park is situated in the east of London, close to Stratford. The big build is well under way, construction is on schedule and some test events have already taken place. There are also some spectacular new venues to visit on a site tour .

An artistAquatic Centre
This iconic venue was designed by award-winning architect Zaha Hadaid and acts as a gateway to the Olympic Park.

The arena is a temporary 12,000-seat venue open for the duration of the Games only.

2012 StadiumOlympic Stadium
This 80,000-seat stadium located at the heart of the Olympic Park will be the centre piece of the Games and the venue for the Opening Ceremony, Closing Ceremony and all Athletics events.

Earls Court
Sports: Volleyball
Location: Earls Court is in west London, close to the Victoria and Albert, Science and Natural History Museums and easily accessible by Rail and Tube from Earl’s Court Station.  Earl’s Court is the venue for many exhibitions and conferences every year with an exhibition space of 40,000 square metres.

Location: ExCel London is one of Europe’s largest and most versatile exhibition centres.  It is located near London City Airport in east London’s Royal Victoria Dock.
